LIONS CLUB SCHOLARSHIP DUE APRIL 7TH

OPEN TO ALL GRADUATING SENIORS AND ANY MAJOR OR COLLEGE.

APPLICANTS MUST SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING:

  • Resume---list all high school activities and church and community service as well as employment
  • Transcript
  • ACT Score
  • Letter of Recommendation from the school's current principal or a high school teacher in whose class the applicant has been a student
  • Description of your college and career plans
  • Brief Biography---include information about yourself and family and why the scholarship would be helpful
  • OPTIONAL---letter from a church or community leader with whom the student has worked on projects or a letter of reference from the student's employer
  • ALL APPLICATIONS MUST BE TYPED IN A BOLD FONT (14, 16 OR 18 POINT). ALL MATERIALS SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN A FOLDER OR A LARGE MANILA ENVELOPE---SIZE SHOULD ALLOW MATERIALS TO BE INSERTED WITHOUT BEING FOLDED.
  • Return all completed materials by 11:00 a.m. on April 7th. Deliver completed applications to Al Shumaker's Law Office at 270 East Main Street, Centre, AL 35960. Students hand delivering applications should enter through the front door closest to the bronze plaque on the exterior front wall.

SOUTHERN BANK SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION DUE APRIL 1ST

This scholarship is open to any graduating senior attending any college. You can be majoring in any area of field. Please see Mrs. Davis to get an application.

UNIVERSITY OF WEST ALABAMA FULL RIDE SCHOLARSHIP FOR BIOLOGY MAJORS

Full-Ride Scholarships at the University of West (UWA)he Biology Opportunity and Scholarship for Success II (BOSS II) program has TEN (10) $8,500 annual scholarships for freshmen students interested in studying biology at the University of West Alabama.
A student with an ACT score of 22 can take the BOSS II scholarship ($8,500) and Tiger Achievement Award ($2,000), a total of $11,500 (60% of the attendance cost is covered).

  • A student with an ACT score of 33 can get the BOSS II scholarship ($8,500) and Trustee Excellence Award ($12,000), a total of $20,500 (100% of the attendance cost is covered).
  • To be considered for the BOSS II scholarship, the complete application should be received as early as possible. Application decisions are made on a rolling basis for next fall. The successful applicant will also have free exclusive access to many resources, which include summer college preparation camp, well-being assessment, tutoring, and academic counselling.
